Join us for a focused training where we will fuse Abakuá and Rumba Columbia into Timba.


This workshop is designed for dancers who want to better understand how Afro-Cuban roots live inside Timba using lyrics and rhythm as tools to respond with clarity, confidence, and authentic Cuban sabor.

In the bootcamp you'll learn

11:00 – 12:00 | Abakuá EFO Fundamentals
Explore the foundations of Abakuá and its influence on Rumba and Afro-Cuban movement concepts.

12:00 – 13:00 | Rumba Columbia
Develop body control, coordination, and rhythmic expression through traditional Columbia training.

13:00 – 14:00 | Afro-Cuban Dance in Timba
Learn to identify Afro-Cuban elements in Timba and integrate them naturally into your dance.

Feminine Expression in Cuban Dance | 2nd Edition

This special event is an invitation to connect with your feminine energy through Cuban movement.

Flow from the elegance of Chachacha, to the flow of Yemaya, and the expressive Timba (Cuban Salsa) style, guided by guest artist Ana Aylen and Elaine. Refine your technique, explore rhythm, and let your feminine presence shine in every movement.

Level Chachacha & Timba: Intermediate / Advanced salsa dancers
Level Afro-Cuban: Open (no previous experience needed)

In the bootcamp you'll learn:

  • 11:45 - 12:00 | Welcome & Registration

  • 12:00 – 13:20 | Chachachá & Feminine Technique (Ana)

    Warm-up with focus on arms, wrists, chest, and walks

    Gentle combos blending elegance, posture, and musicality

  • 13:20 – 13:30 | Short Break

  • 13:30 – 14:30 | Yemaya & Afro-Cuban Feminine Flow (Elaine)

    1-hour session focused on flow, upper-body, arms and chest

    Connect inner softness with rhythm and feminine presence

  • 14:30 – 14:40 | Refresh & Recharge

  • 14:40 – 16:00 | Timba (Cuban Salsa) Femenina (Ana)

    1 hour 20-minute session of dynamic, playful combinations

    Full-body rhythm, hips, curves, musical interpretation, and confidence

  • 16:00 – 16:15 | Cool-Down & Integration (Ana & Elaine)

    Gentle stretching and mindful movement

    Close the day feeling grounded, radiant, and empowered

We recommend to bring dance heels for the Chachacha and Timba classes and a long skirt for the Yemaya class. If you don't have them, it's not an issue. It's just a recommendation :)
